It's been a while but I'm excited to be coming back to the SF Bay Area. I'll be in town Saturday, October 8th to rock the discotheque with my man Anthony Mansfield from Hector Works alongside birthday boy, JP Soul and other guest, Kool Breeze.
It is with great pleasure and much excitement that we announce the addition of a new artist to the Lowdown Grooves roster! On February 22nd, we'll be dropping the new release release, 'Dare To Think', from L.A. based producer, Cavalcade.
Benny E. Sanches, AKA Cavalcade, is a native Texan with over 20 years of music industry experience with a focus on electronic music. Influenced by the sounds of 80’s New Wave, the emergence of Industrial, Electro and Trip Hop.
Cavalcade debuts with hip hop beats, atmospheric landscapes and multi-genre compositions that tingle with cool and melodic vibes for the senses. With remix and production credits for electronic music pioneers Depeche Mode, Meat Beat Manifesto and Cabaret Voltaire, to name a few, Cavalcade is embarking on a new frontier of frequencies and inspiration.

This track is built around the the track, "Pancho Villa", off of the somewhat rare Lp by Giants, a little-known 70's supergroup of sorts featuring Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock and Bob Dylan (?!) among others. I loved the laid back latin groove of this track and wanted to beef it up a bit for the dance floor. This involved some minor editing to the original, some added atmospherics and effects and, of course, some bumping disco drums to flesh it all out. I also took the tempo up to 120 from it's languid original tempo of 110 bpm. This is unmastered and in progress.
Feel free to offer any feedback on the track in the comments section.
